THE COUNTRY SEAT
The main body of the country inn is made up of a Sicilian villa belonged to Prince Manganelli that can be dated back to the first half of the 19th century (although a wrought iron frieze bears the date 1878). Through the years the building has kept intact the distinctive features of that age. The ‘Sicilianess' rising from the architecture is reinforced both by a breathtaking view of Mount Etna and the rural landscape (made of cherry and citrus trees) surrounding the residence. For these reasons the place has been object of study and shooting of some important film productions. Well-known Italian director Franco Zeffirelli has chosen Villa Di Bella as ideal set for filming “Storia di una Capinera".
